About the tree: Prunus serotina, also known as black cherry. Another victim of the wind storms during the summer of '24. This tree came from a family farm here in Monkton. The guy I got it from watched it grow for the last 40+ years. I made a bunch of gorgeous bowls from this tree. Many have sold already. So grab one while they last!
