These platters are sweet! The top side is scooped out a bit so it has a depression. The underside is turned on the lathe as well and has subtle radius to it. Dynamite! I use mine for lunch, snacks, holding candles, and when my kids get rowdy they quickly become Chinese throwing stars. I select the most figured wood I can get to make these. They feel great in your hands and are wonderful to use.
